Terms of Service

1. Who we are & what this covers

Ameroth (“the Game”, “we”, “us”) is a free-to-play browser game operated by Ameroth Studios, based in Sweden. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Game, including the website at ameroth.com, your account, and all in-game features. By creating an account or playing, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Game Rules. If you do not agree, do not use the Game.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of digital consent in your country, you may only use the Game with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By creating an account you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. Your account

• You sign in with a system-assigned 6-digit account number and a password you choose. Keep both safe — you are responsible for all activity on your account.
• One person per account. Do not share, sell, rent, or transfer your account, and do not access anyone else’s account.
• Tell us at support@ameroth.com promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Acceptable use

When you play, you agree to follow the Game Rules. In short, you may not cheat, automate play (bots/scripts), exploit bugs, manipulate the game client or network traffic, harass other players, post unlawful or harmful content, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other accounts. Breaking the Rules can lead to warnings, muting, suspension, or a permanent ban.

5. Virtual items & in-game currency

• The Game contains virtual items, gold, diamonds, characters, and progress (“Virtual Items”). Virtual Items have no real-world monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money, and are licensed to you for use within the Game — you do not own them.
• Selling, buying, or trading Virtual Items or accounts for real money or outside the Game is prohibited.
• We may add, change, remove, or reset Virtual Items, balance, and features at any time, including during and after the beta period.

6. Purchases

If and when the Game offers paid features (such as premium membership or diamonds), the price and what you receive will be shown at the point of purchase, and payment is handled by our payment provider. Because digital content is delivered immediately, you agree that performance begins at once and, to the extent permitted by law, you waive any statutory right of withdrawal once delivery has started. This does not affect your mandatory consumer rights under Sweden and EU law. During beta, paid features may be limited or absent.

7. Beta & availability

The Game is in active development (alpha/beta). It is provided “as is” and “as available”. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Game, perform maintenance, or reset or wipe progress and accounts, with or without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

8. Intellectual property

The Game and all of its content — code, art, music, text, characters, and branding — are owned by Ameroth Studios or its licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and play the Game for your own non-commercial entertainment. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the Game except as permitted by law.

9. Your content

You are responsible for content you submit — character names, chat messages, guild details, and the like (“User Content”). You keep ownership of your User Content, but you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and use it as needed to operate and moderate the Game. We may review, remove, or refuse User Content that breaks these Terms or the Game Rules.

10. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access — including a permanent ban — if you break these Terms or the Game Rules, or to protect the Game and its players. You may stop using the Game and request deletion of your account at any time by contacting support@ameroth.com. On termination, your licence to use the Game and any Virtual Items ends.

11. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Game is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost progress, Virtual Items, or data. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including your mandatory rights as a consumer.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Game evolves. If we make material changes, we will update the version and date at the top of this page and may notify you in-game or by email. Continuing to use the Game after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence still apply. If you are an EU consumer, you may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
